Help Support the Advancement and Advocacies of Our School
”Advancement is the meaningful involvement of people in our mission and vision for the future.”
On September 4, 2008, St. John’s Catholic School celebrated 100 years of providing excellence in Catholic education to the Hot Springs area. As we continue to build on this great tradition, we appreciate the support and sacrifices of so many over our long history.
The mission of the St. John’s Catholic School Advancement Office is to create, plan, implement, and sustain an advancement process that will support the ministry of St. John’s Catholic School. The SJS Advancement Office provides an opportunity for alumni, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, parishioners, and community supporters who value Catholic education to make a donation that will have a real impact on St. John’s both now and in the future. Gifts are used to keep tuition affordable, to encourage excellence in education through improved recruitment and retention, and to provide needed improvements in technology and student materials. This support will preserve, strengthen, and build on the tradition of faith-filled education at St. John’s School.
Gifts to St. John’s School, no matter how large or how small, make a difference in the lives of our students. Our hope and prayer are that you are pleased with the exciting things taking place at SJS, and with your help, we can continue this momentum together as we advance the mission of St. John’s Catholic School.
The Mercy Fund
The Mercy Fund is the annual fund drive that enables St. John’s Catholic School to continue the legacy of providing excellence in catholic education in the Hot Springs area. The Mercy Fund is our giving program that makes a difference in enriching the daily lives of our students.

Our hope and prayers are that you are pleased with the exciting things that are taking place here on campus, and with your help, we can continue this momentum together as we advance the mission of St. John’s Catholic School.
The Leadership Society
The Leadership Society is comprised of lead investors committed to the future of St. John’s Catholic School. Membership is open to all individuals, families or organizations that make a minimum $500 annual gift to the St. John’s School Mercy Fund. Each year, the school will count on leadership gifts such as these to provide the backbone for the program enhancements in the areas of technology, faculty, and students.
The Legacy Courtyard Project
We are pleased to announce that the initial stage of our Legacy Courtyard has been completed. This courtyard will provide a lasting tribute to our alumni and donors. Funds raised through this endeavor will be used to grow St. John’s Endowment Fund, which provides a vehicle that ensures the financial stability needed to guarantee the success of our school in providing an excellent education in a Catholic environment. This lasting and perpetual tribute to our alumni, donors, their families or loved ones will also assist the school in making tuition more affordable, providing equitable salaries for our dedicated faculty and staff, continuing facility improvements and being an expression and evidence of our belief and commitment to Catholic education. In addition, we can be assured the legacy of St. John’s continues for future generations.

The St. John's Bazaar is held the last Friday of October each year. The event, sponsored by CHI St. Vincent and local businesses, begins with an All-School Mass, a bake sale, a virtual silent auction lunch prepared by the Men of Mary from St. Mary of the Springs Catholic Church, a spaghetti dinner, prepared by the Knights of Columbus, and a live auction. Throughout the day, the students enjoy carnival games and inflatables. The Bazaar is the major fundraising event for the school and typically raises $80,000 - $90,000.
Ways To Give
St. John’s Catholic School A History of Giving

St. John’s Catholic School has been blessed throughout our 100 plus year history to be the recipient of many gifts of service, prayer, encouragement and financial support. We appreciate the many sacrifices that have enabled St. John’s to continue to offer the benefit of an excellent Catholic education in the Hot Springs area. The following giving opportunities are available for those who desire to help St. John’s financially.
